LUIS is a solo artist whose music blends jazz, hip hop, and other genres, creating harmonies, melodies, and rhythms that challenge traditional compositional structures. Through his lyrics, which explore various experiences, LUIS aims to connect deeply with his audience.
After the release of his debut album Blakpant, LUIS is now working on his second project, Session Live 2, a live-recorded album that promises to continue his musical exploration. The recording took place in La Serena, Chile, and features talented young musicians: Kenny Chop on guitar, Raúl Veliz on drums, and Felipe Lolaz on keyboards. In this new work, the musicians play a central role, highlighting their contributions as key figures in the creative process. The album also includes collaborations with the rapper KMHC, adding a fresh and dynamic touch to the compositions.
As a musician, LUIS has performed in over 50 countries, playing with various bands and in Broadway shows such as Jersey Boys, Kinky Boots, and Choir of Man, where he plays both electric and double bass. Now Hes is doing The musical Burn the floor with 20 people on the stage betwen dancers, singers and musicans. He has also participated in internatinal festival raizes -Colombia and major jazz festivals in Chile, such as the La Serena Jazz Festival, Vallenar Jazz Festival, and Concepción Jazz Festival, among others.
Throughout his career, LUIS got a Independent artist certificate in the renowned Musician institute at Los angeles, California, USA. He took lesson with teachers like Scott Henderson and enginier Adam Kagan.LUIS has had sessions with artists like vikings 5, Alejandro Shir, Fabián Elías, and Jorge Villegas. His first formal encounter with music was in classical music, playing the flute in professional orchestras, but it was the bass that captured his heart, allowing him to develop his talent as a composer, soloist, and improviser. This blend of classical and modern influences has been key to his unique style.
The music market is evolving rapidly, allowing various genres to find their audience worldwide. LUIS's style, with his 6-string bass, effects, rap, and party vibe, has great potential to connect with markets such as the Latin community in the United States and Europe, as well as the Japanese city pop market, inviting everyone to not miss his musical journey.
